How much of a masterpiece must be erased before it ceases to be one?

Radical Restoration begins with a gesture seemingly opposite to conservation: covering, altering, almost destroying.

Works that have entered the collective memory are traversed by digital brushstrokes that erase parts of them, blur faces, and interrupt forms.

Yet something always remains.
